Description
Singer/songwriter Valerie Smith knows and respects the tried and true ways of bluegrass, but she's held fast to her unbreakable rule to 'always sing from the heart. Her vocal sound straddles the line between bluegrass, country and alternative music and resists compartmentalization. Her band consists of talented and seasoned musicians Tom Gray, Joe Zauner, Lisa Kay Howard-Hughes and Wally Hughes.
