Rite of the Womb Ceremony
DescriptionPlease join us for this beautiful ceremony, designed to support the Divine Feminine in all who receive it.
About this Event
Please join us for this beautiful ceremony, designed to support the Divine Feminine in all who receive it. We will have opportunities to release the wounds of the past, and craft our visions and wishes for the future. You will have the option of participating in a brief Sacred Anointing Ritual. Open to all ages and genders.
All of us, no matter our gender, carry wounds from centuries of suppression of the Divine Feminine. This manifests as physical ailments, emotional imbalance, and more. Together, let’s heal our womb; let’s heal our mothers’, sisters’, and daughters’ wombs. In this way we will bring healing to our Mother Earth.
Drummer Daniel Greenberg will be leading drummers in accompanying rhythms for the ceremony and movement portions of the event. To join this group, please contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The ceremony and initiation will be facilitated by Rachel Kaufman, MPH, and Mary Kearns, PhD, both Womb Keepers initiated by Marcela Lobos. This ceremony has passed along in a lineage of women through jungle medicine, resulting in this: the 13th Rite of the Munay-ki: The Rite of the Womb. Wear comfortable clothing. To receive the most benefit from the rituals, refrain from the use of alcohol or other mind-altering substances for at least 24 hours before the event. If you’d like, please bring a sacred item (e.g., crystal, feather, image, etc.) for the community altar, which you will take home with you. Tea and a grounding snack will be provided.
