Enjoy light refreshments while previewing our upcoming auctions
On Thursday, February 22, 2018, Quinn's Auction Galleries and Waverly Rare Books are pleased to present two sales in celebration of Black History Month. Part I, 'The Faces of Merton Simpson,' features a compilation of portraits, collages, and studies by artist, African-Art dealer, and activist Merton D. Simpson. Part II, 'The Johnson Collection of Black Americana & Ephemera,' is a single-owner sale of Black Americana collectibles, documents, books, photographs and all types of ephemera.
In honor of Black History Month, the party will benefit the Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation, which works to raise awareness of the contributions of African-Americans and other cultures to the development of Falls Church, Fairfax County, and the United States. Quinn's Auction Galleries has donated $500 and will match other donations up to an additional $500.
